About This Cartridge

Welcome to Fairfax Station's first ever Wherigo cache! Your adventure today will take you on a pleasant little tour of two wonderful hidden gems within Fairfax Station: St. Mary's Church, and the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum. The complete tour is about 0.5 miles total and the starting point at the parking lot of St. Mary's Church. The Railroad Museum is a short drive from the church on Fairfax Station Road. As you tour the grounds of the church and the museum, you will visit some historical markers or landmarks, learn more about their role during the American Civil War and you will have a chance to see some really cool railroad displays at the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum. Along the way, you will be asked questions and will need to solve a Field puzzle at end of the Wherigo to find the Geocache. Geocaching Page: (visit link)

The upper parking lot at Saint Mary's Church in Fairfax Station,VA.

Parking can be accessed by taking Fairfax Station Road.

Finally dug out my old Colorado and decided to do a couple Wherigo's. It took a while to get through, the Colorado's sense of direction was a bit iffy at times. I'd be wandering around the area, just trying to convince it that I was at the right place! Arg. But I did enjoy the tour. I live pretty close to these places and have been to them before, but this was a lot of info I didn't know before. Thanks!

It took me a while to figure one question to be answered. After that I went well along with all the rest. I think this type of cache is the longest time I have taken. Thank you for the history exploration at the two places. I enjoyed it alot! Don
