About This Cartridge

To access this cartridge you must first finish the Myst cartridge and get the password from the Mechanical Journal.

Many years ago, a large island existed where they were. This island had a large city, with many peaceful people. They had no means of transportation and could only wait for friend or foe. In the end, both came. Friendly visitors warned of a fleet of Black Ships that attacked and destroyed all they came upon. They sank the island into the sea, leaving only the guard towers exposed and the sky cloudy and gray. The once-large island experienced rising water levels after the attack, leading to the creation of three small islands, the south-most being the largest.

This was a really fun one. Brought sissadies to show her what a Wherigo is. She enjoyed it so we did the other two I had left as well.

Was unable to use the unlock code (re-read and re-entered 3 times!), but it was fine once I just uploaded the *.gws file from "Saved". This was my first Wherigo success! Tried another one a couple of years ago, but the 'boxes' were too tight to get it to work with GPS drift that day.

Wow. What a lot of steps! We'd planned a bicycle cache on down the S. Platte, and before we knew it, we were already past our first couple of traditional caches. Backed up when we had completed this one and started the run again from the N side of 104th.

Good fun, and we'll be looking for others in the future.

Thanks to the CO for providing our starting point since MYST is down at the present time.

I see a "Rate this cartridge" below, and honestly, since this was our first, don't know how it looks compared to others. We did enjoy the ride, although many of the points were awfully close together. I suspect the CO set this up for walking, for which the distances would have been very nice. Sure was a lot of writing involved!

I completed 5 Wherigos today. I used both an Oregon and a Droid X with WhereYouGo and completed this one with no problems on either. I remember these symbols from years ago when I played Myst and Riven. SL. Thanks for all the effort you put into these.
