A guided meander (with a random element) around Capstone Farm Country Park
This Wherigo cartridge will take you all over the country park collecting items before leading you to a physical geocache. The shortest route is about 3.5 miles, but you get to choose your own route so you may walk further. There are lots of marked paths, some may get muddy and there are some hills.
The initial coordinates are for the main car park where the Wherigo starts. There is a second car park but you'll have to walk to the main car park to start. Parking is free but both car parks are locked before sunset.

Well that was an experience to treasure, first one and very fine it was too, hope to do some more (when someone has written them.)
My friend Jen and I stated this some days ago but could not finish for various reasons so came back today to complete, after much moaning from Jen about tingling feet, (something I have never heard of in my 70 years), and wandering around in a certain place like a right pair of divs, it finally came to fruition, ( Jen is still moaning about tingling feet) a thoroughly good day was had by all including the two geo hounds, Thank you for your efforts, I dont understand why these are not more popular.

Out with Dad, sister Ange and Niece Charlotte.
As this was my and our first attempt at a whereigo, we were learning how the catridges worked as we went.
In one of the areas, where we had to do a lap we actually did three thinking we missed something but it turns out I may have been awaiting instructions when I should have been looking for instructions.
Once I figured that out we were on our way!
Interestingly, I was the only one entering the "pin" while the others watched from the start point.
Serves me right for having the GPS I suppose!
This was good fun and a great experience.

Joined forces with my son, Davejp84 and accompanied by my daughter Ange and grand daughter Charlotte, who came along for the fun! This was our first Whereigo and good fun it was too. Had a few problems because we were initially missing part of the trim trail. Once we realised where we were going wrong we started coining it in!
We all had good fun although I'm sure we walked a lot further than we really needed too.....my feet are killing me!
Thanks for a good afternoon's entertainment.

Started the Wherigo using an Oregon 550 and Samsung Galaxy S4 . We always use at least two different devices for Wherigos. Both worked well but at the kite field the heavens opened. An almighty hail storm. Didn't want to risk getting the phone wet so proceeded with just the Oregon. Couldn't find the information board at the ruins but managed to guess the answer easily enough.
Completed the walk in about 1 hour 45 minutes but that was without stopping for any other caches en-route. Really nicely put together Wherigo. Very impressive indeed for a 'first attempt'!

We arrived here just before 8.30am and set off on a wander around the lake. We soon knew where we had to go and once we got our bearings we set off. We were playing with the Oregon and an iphone just to make sure we had the best chance of nothing going wrong. We really enjoyed answering all the questions in each of the zones, I'm not sure what all the dog walkers must of though of us as we were entering our 'pin number' it must have looked very strange with the 2 of us walking backwards and forwards in different directions . We were soon on our way to the slot machine, and Mr unowho knew exactly what to do here , at this point my iphone decided to play up, despite completing all the tasks it would not give me the final co-rds, luckily the Oregon worked fine and we were on our way to the final. Once at GZ it was a quick find and a nice big cache.
Many thanks for all your hard work in setting up this wherigo, there were some really great ideas in this one and you really do have a sense of humour we really enjoyed it.
