Build an Outdoor Adventure
The Wherigo Builder is a Windows application that lets anyone create interactive adventures that can be played in the real world. Define all details including zones, characters, items and events. You create the story and write the rules of play.
The Wherigo Builder currently runs on Windows 2000, XP, and Windows Server 2003.
How to Build a Cartridge
Although it's a little more complicated than 3 steps, here's a general overview of how to build your own Wherigo cartridges.
Step 1: Map Out Zones
Zones are GPS-defined locations in the real world - the basic building blocks of Wherigo. Set the stage by mapping out the zones.
Step 2: Create a Story
Define your context – the situation, objectives, and events that you want players to experience. You can develop characters, items, tasks and rules to support the experience.
Step 3: Share It Online
Once your cartridge is complete, upload it to Wherigo.com for others to play.
