Another after work caching event with the birthday girl Janey tonight and no better way to celebrate her big 50 than a couple of wherigo's and a few caches too. Picking me up as usual, she was on time tonight (I nearly fainted with shock) and we were soon on our way over to this neck of the woods.
This was to be the final cache for tonight knowing it would take a while to complete. Parking up as suggested, it was only a short walk to the start and getting the cartridge working. Following the trail around, it was certainly interesting and educational with buildings I would probably never have noticed otherwise. Getting to the final bit, a bit of grey matter involved to obtain the final co ords and the search began. Failing to find anything on the first sweep, Janey then left me to the search whilst she read the logs. Deciding she had the answer, she sent me in for a look somehwere where I thought it surely can't be there and after a scramble about, it wasn't. Looking at a few other places she was insistant it would be, we still came up blank so nothing for it but to PAF, who tonight could actually remember in great detail where the very well secreted cache was stashed. Going in for the retrieve, I can't believe I had touched this on my very first sweep, but had failed to investigate it properly. With the cache in hand, the paperwork was completed with a combination of our initals, before replacing all as found. Thanks for another great wherigo with some great history within it. Another FP in here for taking the time out for this creation, tftc

Thoroughly enjoyed a very interesting walk round the older parts of the town. Used Google Nexus phone (Android) with WhereYouGo app - worked perfectly. Certainly a five star experience. Many thanks.

Our third Wherigo and a lovely little walk overall. Some places we had already visited today for other caches, but that didn't spoil the fun of it. A really well thought out walk with lots of information provided. We had no problems with the app here on an iPhone 5S. Thanks very much for putting it together, we know how long and involved they can be! Finding the well hidden final was a little frustrating, but worth it! Took a TB. TFTC SL

Thoroughly enjoyed our stroll around Horbury, its always good to visit new places. Interesting history, we really like this type of Wherigo and we particularly enjoyed the hidden zones that were a nice addition to the main zones.

This was my first Wherigo completed with Cheekybev, what a great experience and gained lots of information about Horbury and some of its previous inhabitants
Horbury is a nice village full of places you may never usually visit but thanks to the history hike and wherigo, we found lots of them.
At our last one we even met a man who knew the man the gardens were named after, (or so he said)
Thanks again for this experience

We would highly recommend this Wherigo and, if you don't know Horbury at all we think you will be particularly impressed. Although we live locally we were introduced to some local people we were not aware of and memories of others were brought back. Coincidentally we recently read a book by Horbury's most famous author which has become available in e-book format!
